The Annonacea family of fruits includes the subtropical custard apple, or cherimoya. It is known in India as sitafal and has stiff, leathery skin that is green in color, with creamy meat within.

Custard apples can be spherical, round, irregularly conical, or even shaped like a heart. The texture of sitafal flesh is granular, creamy, sweet, and full of seeds. Custard apples are frequently served cold and eaten raw. It is an enticing fruit due to its seductively sweet and refreshing

health advantages:

The custard apple is a remarkable fruit that is rich in fiber, minerals, and vitamins and has numerous health benefits, such as:

The high fiber content of custard apples aids in digestion, wards off constipation, and aids in body detoxification.
Numerous antioxidants included in sitafal, such as flavonoids, phenolic compounds, vitamin C, and kaurenoic acid, combat free radicals linked to cancer, heart disease, and chronic illnesses. In addition to shielding our eyes from oxidative damage, antioxidants (lutein and carotenoid) reduce the incidence of cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, and vision loss.
Potassium and magnesium, two minerals abundant in cherimoya, lower blood pressure by widening constricted blood vessels. High blood pressure raises the risk of heart disease and stroke, as is well known.
Vitamin B6 is abundant in sitafal, which improves our immunity

Although custard apples are full of health advantages, they also contain small amounts of harmful substances (annonacin) that can harm our nervous system and brain. Remove the fruit's seeds and skin before eating it, as they contain the most of the toxin.

The sweet fruit cherimoya improves the flavor of fruit salads, smoothies, soups, cakes, flavored yogurt, and porridge. So give up their sweet, creamy flavor and incorporate them into your meal.

Apple custard is a nutritious dietary option for people with diabetes. These fruits have a high fiber content. Consequently, it reduces the rate at which glucose is absorbed into the bloodstream, aiding in the regulation of blood sugar levels. In addition, they are minimal in calories and have a low glycemic index (GI).
