As the old saying goes
“it takes hands to build a house but it takes heart to build a home”
Yes its true in my case. Getting married at the age of 21 and having a child at age of 23 is lot more difficult then it sound. But it gets easier if you have a partener who stand by you like a rock and with my husband by side I feel the same.
I belong to a community where girls are raised to look after their spouse and in-laws. I'm not one of them .I may be , but I feel that I don't belong here. Everyday putting my self respect at risk and serving others happily is what I did. I wanted to love people around me but I failed. I failed because I didn't have any guts to love myself, I didn't know how to respect myself.
My husband supported me in every way he could, except the fact that he never spoke for me,but he did. He did his best. We built this life together. We are together in this. When you have a perfect life partner you can't ask for more. Trying to impress everyone and wanting them to like me impacted my life very badly.
But then we shifted to a new place and this made us realise that we are one. Time passed and it made us realise that even though we are away from our home and family and friends , we have built a new home for ourselves. Yes it's a rented house but it's our home. A place where my daughter is growing, where our bond with eachother is becoming stronger. Everyday is same as previous day but still we are growing. It all made me realise that The thing that matters is that you are the only one who can help yourself. Wanting everyone to like you is something next to impossible. People you share your life with plays a important role and having a great soulmate is like having a hot cup of tea with samosa(you know what I mean).
So grab your samosa and let it know how much you love it, how important they are to you. Never give anyone power to disrespect you but give that one person the power to make your life beautiful.
Make your space your home where you can laugh out loud, share your happiness with one person who matters the most to you.
Ladies you deserve better you are worth it.
