Though we live in 21st century, but sometimes we  come across so many incidents daily, which made us thinking that do we really live in a civilised society or the whole thing is just a sham!!!

Domestic violence is one of such examples in the society Which carries a great shame and prove that we are still living with very low class mentality. Generally in most of the cases the female counterpart of the relationship are the victim of the domestic violence. 

In movies and news we often come across such incidents where we can see that the female counterpart of the relationship are victimised of domestic violence due to the demand of dowry or high expectations or just as a result of sick mentality. The other party can be anybody of the family say the husband or in laws and sometimes own parents. 

In country like India, Where people worship the female goddess it is a very shameful act done by the same human being where they always expect that the child who is going to take birth should be a boy and he should be able to take the name of the family forward.In this scenario where the child who is born eventually be a daughter, in most of the villages people tend to get rid of the girl child. In country like India just to save the girl child and to maintain a balance of the sex ratio the government of India has to initiate a Mission called Beti Bachao beti Padao. This remarks a very backward part in the society specially in the rural India where the girl child often considered as a burden of the family.

similarly we see incidents of honour killing well when the girl child chooses a life partner on her own the family opposite. As a result in order to save the name of the family, they take this dangerous option of honour killing resulting in destroying a life of a daughter. We also have Seen in so many cases where there is a huge demand of dowry comes from the boys side in the occasion of marriage and where The girls side is unable to fulfil the demand of her in-laws, it results to domestic violence which also compel the women to have suicidal tendency.

not only that, it breaks my heart to see the incidents like this which breaks someone’s self-respect, confidence, self-esteem, desire to live and in this type of environment our society can never grow up to be a open minded society where people can actually understand the importance of gender equality.

Therefore we should always look for a person despite of the gender how is that human Forgetting the fact he or she is a women or men. Waiting for that change to happen in this society !!!!!
