SPECIALITY OF THIRUVALUVR STATUE IN KANYAKUMARI

The surrounding waves are reminiscent of the words in his poems: deep and graceful, high and low tides full of a range of emotions. Not only is the Thiruvalluvar Statue in Kanniyakumari an amazing piece of art, but it is also a masterpiece that will last for generations.

The grandeur of the Thiruvalluvar Statue, which is visible from a great distance, is truly breathtaking. At 41 meters high, it towers over the brilliant sea and a deep blue sky. The magnificent Thiruvalluvar statue, which is perched atop a rock near the Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanniyakumari, was crafted by Indian sculptor V. Ganapathi Sthapathi and dedicated to the people of Tamil Nadu on January 1, 2000 by M. Karunanidhi, the state's chief minister at the time.

Thiruvalluvar was a well-known Tamil poet and scholar. His most well-known work, "Tirukkural," is a series of couplets on various topics including politics, economics, ethics, and love. Tirukkural is regarded as one of the best pieces of Tamil literature.

SPECIALITY OF VIVEKANANDA ROCK IN KANYAKUMARI

Vivekananda Rock Memorial is a site of exceptional natural beauty, historical significance, and religious importance, situated 500 meters from the mainland. This rock, undoubtedly one of the most visited sites in Kanyakumari, is revered as a holy site and an architectural marvel. One of the two rocks, slightly off the mainland, is the Vivekananda Rock Memorial.

A remarkable memorial to Swami Vivekananda was constructed on this rock and dedicated in 1970. This was done in remembrance of the revered saint and national leader of India, Swami Vivekananda, who founded the Ramakrishna Mission and was a student of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. In 1892, Swami Vivekananda paid a brief visit to Kanyakumari just before departing for Chicago to attend the World Religious

At the Vivekananda Rock Memorial is the Vivekananda Mandapam.
The Vivekananda Mandapam is a masterpiece of architecture, resembling in structure the Sri Ramakrishna Temple in Belur. The memorial's entrances are modeled after the Ajanta and Ellora cave temples of antiquity. One of the memorial's most striking features is the life-size bronze statue of Swami Vivekananda in his "Parivrajak" pose.

There are several parts to this mandapam. The Dhyana Mandapam is a meditation hall that has six rooms next to it. Its mystical ambience is perfect for a quiet meditation. The Sabha Mandapam is made up of the assembly halls, two rooms, a corridor, and an open courtyard (prakaram). It also includes Pralima, the area where the statue is kept.
