Well being in hostel n pgs for so many years i have been trying many recipes in my lil electric kettle only and believe me its not that easy to cook all food in kettle, after lots of trial and error … some quick fix recipes in kettle i will be sharing …
#1st recipe khichdi…things required 1)1cup moong dal 2) ½cup rice 3)jeera ½tbl spoon 4) dried chilli or green chilli 5)jeera powder 1tbl spoon 6) turmeric powder ½tbl spoon 7) 2 to 3 tbl spoon ghee.
(in an electric kettle) ..
Heat the kettle , put ghee or oil 1spoon, then switch off the kettle if it become too hot, in that oil put ½tbl spoon jeera and dried chilli or green chilli saute it n switch on the kettle again, after 1min of saute put moong dal and rice then mix and saute again for another 1 min. Then put water 3 cups into it. Add salt as per taste..add turmeric powder and jeera powder n Let it boil for 1n hlf hr .. in between stir n check whether the rice n dal is cooked or not if not then add water in it n let it boil for another 1hlf n hr , then when it is properly cook in a semi liquify consistency as per your need then put another 2 to 3 spoon ghee in it and stir.. And we are done .. ready to eat…
Tricks# If in any point aftr puting dal n rice your kettle is too hot and it keeps on auto cut again and again and burns at the bottom then switch it off n after 5min switch it on add water in it n stir continuosly…
(In induction n cooker )
Heat the cooker add ghee or oil 1spoon in that put ½tbl spoon jeera and dried chilli or green chilli saute it ,after 1min of saute put moong dal and rice then mix and saute again for another 1 min. Then put water 3 cups into it. Add salt as per taste..add turmeric powder and jeera powder close the lid , let 4 to 5 whistle .. after that open the lid add water if require to liquify as per your need then let it boil n add ghee 2 to 3 spoon ..and its ready to eat.
