Name of the movie : Titanic.           Directed by : James Cameron.     Release date : 18 November1997 Cast : Leonardo Di Caprio as Jack Dawson, Kate Winslet as Rose Dewitt Bukater, Bill Paxton as Brock Lovett, Kathy Bates as Molly Brown and Billy Zane as Caledon Hockley.

“Titanic”  directed by James Cameron. It is an American epic romance and a love story interwinked with the events that took place in 1912. James Cameron's film is an accurate representation of the event and the thinking behind the film. Symbolism is another aspect of the film that Cameron decided to concentrate on.

The story ‘Titanic’ is told by a 100 year old woman named Rose Dewitt Bukater about her life, on a ship called Titanic and about what event occurred during her stay.

Her story was a tragic love story where she survived to share her story. While sailing aboard the Titanic on the upper class level, she met a man by the name of Jack Dawson who was a poor man who had won his ticket to sail the Titanic by playing a lucky hand of poker. They fell for each other fairly quickly when Rose was threatening to jump of the Titanic because of troubles in her life. Jack helped her of the ledge and saved her. Rose was already engaged to Caledon Hockley who was a rich ignorant man, who was only attracted to Rose by her beauty and family fortune. Rose couldn't deny her feelings for Jack anymore. Their love came to a new level.

One night while they were having fun on the lower level of the deck, the Titanic hit a big iceberg they couldn't avoid since it was much larger underwater than it appeared to be on the surface. That is when the Titanic began to sink fairly quickly. All women and children were ask to climb abroad small lifeboats and some less fortunate poor people were left locked downstairs. Caledon hated Jack so much that he planted a very expensive piece of jewellery in Jack's pocket to make it look like he stole it. The security took Jack down in the lower level and handcuffed him and left him there. Rose went to look for him and set him free with half the boat already sank. With a lot of struggle they finally managed to get on the deck of the ship where Rose was forced by her fiance to get on a small lifeboat. Rose couldn't bare the thought of being without Jack. Caledon tried to kill them both because of his outrage that his fiance was in love with another man. After the ship sunk, Rose was lying on a floating door while Jack was getting frozen by the icy and freezing water. Jack eventually died. Rose had lost her true love and never forget him. Deep on the bottom of the sea, some 3800 metres below the surface of the freezing Atlantic ocean, lies the wrecked ship - Titanic.

Director James Cameron knows how to elevate the strength of his cast to great effect and it shows. The Titanic is a powerful story of love, survival and heroism. A love story that will never let go of the hearts of the audience around the world.
