Excessive thinking is also called Obsessive thinking or thinking too much. Negative thoughts and images do not need to be controlled. Brain imaging research shows that overexposure is related to emotional dysfunction . This often happens for unintentional reasons. Some people there, if you feel anxious for the first time, some people have many episodes of it, The situation also changes dramatically over time. 

Here are some tips to reduce anxiety, which you can follow:

Increase awareness:

The first is to get to know your behavior or your thoughts when they arises. The next time you catch yourself in this loop, just ask yourself    "STOP”

Name it:

Whenever we found ourselves plagued by negative thoughts, we become fearful. Write down the opposite thoughts and reasons. In the meantime, when you do this, you will be able to control your emotions.

Meditation:

Mental exercises of meditation brings peace of mind and a focus on your current situation. You can learn beginning mediation from many online resources.

Acceptance:

Think about the source of your anxiety once and for all. What feelings do you feel. Give permission to feel insensitive. As you feel, accept it. Ask yourself if you can change your past ? If your answer is no, then it might be best to accept it. Take a deep breath and do something interesting. And if the answer is yes, then find out what can you do.

Make a stress relief plan:

Pity yourself and remember that you do not have to do all this at once- you may feel like you did not succeed when you were scared or worried. When you feel a lot of negative thoughts, so take a break for 15-20 minutes a day, sit and leave all those things, what worries you. This will help you build a healthy boundary.

 If you are not able to control your negative thoughts even though you are doing all of this, then taking treatment and expert advice will always help you.
