Quick Deep Sleep In A Minute

Sleep is Unconscious Meditation, Meditation is Conscious Sleep

 

A child’s sleep can be described as the most relaxing and rejuvenating resting phase that enables to wake up happy and refreshed.  As children are more closer to life, if you can have a sound sleep, it means you are more closer to your self.

 

The five possible states one can experience, as described by Ken Wilber:

Wakeful

Dreaming

Deep Dreaming

Witnessing [Awareness]

Unity Consciousness [Non-Duality]

 

Studies show that growth is seen in children while they are asleep.  It’s our natural quality to be able to sleep like a child.

 

Lack of proper sleep can cause abnormalities in the functioning of mind and body.  Sometimes longer sleep cycles are not qualitative and can be unhealthy too.  It is important to maintain the sleep-wake rhythm of the body’s internal clock.


Unfortunately, mental and emotional disturbances result in the inability to rest the mind causing people to suffer from anxiety/depression.

Doing lot of physical work or exercising or taking long walks helps one to easily move beyond the mind thus enabling one to naturally fall asleep.

 

You may search in Google to find Herbs, Oils [Lavender] and Binaural Beats that can do the needful.  All of these may not be suitable for everyone, use at your discretion.

Warning:  Care needs to be taken while doing a ‘Trial and Error’ method with these sounds to find the suitable one.  It is advised to try a sound for a short duration to see any changes in the body/mind.  Quit using it if you see anything abnormal.

 

Recommendation 1:

 

     The following Quick-Deep-Sleep technique is powerful and works in a minute.  It is a blessing and acts as a saviour to beat insomnia [I believe it works in extreme cases too].  When you struggle to fall asleep, all you need to do is remember this weapon.  Doing this technique twice a day adds more benefits with respect to other health issues.  You may give it a try.

 

The 4-7-8 Breathing Technique (My Version):

Bring the whole of your beingness into the lower half of nose and lock the focus.  Now it should feel like you exist only in the focused space and not anywhere else in the body or mind.

  • The beingness slowly inhales to a count of 4
  • The beingness holds the breath to a count of 7
  • The beingness slowly exhales to a count of 8

 

When you think and create thoughts, you are in the field of mind i.e., Mind is the first person.  Beingness gives the ability to control the mind.  It is a space where mind is not the first person, basically it is out-of-thought space.

 

It takes time and practice to find beingness and use this technique.  Otherwise, you may use the original 4-7-8 technique (By Dr. Andrew Weil).
The original technique requires you to follow above mentioned steps by focusing mental attention on breath [rather than breathing from beingness] and it involves breathing out through mouth making a whoosh sound.

 

Repeat this technique and find yourself falling asleep within 60 seconds.  It also helps to have 4-hour deep restful sleep which seems sufficient, in contrast to 8-hour sleep.  It always works great and quick.

 

Recommendation 2:
