I will be talking about few tips on interviews. These days you might be giving over a zoom call or skype call or any medium of online communication.
So, here as few tips for the same-
Question- What should your CV/Resume look like?
Answer- It is very important to have a structured one-page CV/Resume. People tend to fill up the pages. Nobody has enough time to read so lengthy pages. If you have a structured resume then it will grab the attention of the interviewer more easily and quickly. He will read the information more quickly and thoroughly. So your resume must be sharp, crisp, and structured.
Question- What you should mention in your resume?
Answer- You have to keep in mind that something that is deviating from the topic, remove it. If something has made a difference, you should keep it. So keep these small things in mind while preparing your resume/CV.
When the interviewer asks you something, make sure you are answering them which is not mentioned in your CV.
Question- Tell me about yourself?
Don't say- I am so and so. I have done graduation. No it is already mentioned in your CV.
Say something really exciting- Your achievements which you might have already mentioned in your CV, but it will have many facts and figures that you might have not mentioned. (What you done to achieve that achievement?)Be realistic about what you are talking about. Don't just mug up your answers before going to an interview. Be focused- Don't mix anything.
Be relevant- Whatever you are speaking it should match your resume.
For example- If you have written I am a very adventurous person.
You should be ready with the answers to what and how you have done all your adventures? Don't react as if you have not done anything adventurous. Mention all which you all have experienced or what you are. Don't add Taj Mahals to your resume just to impress the interviewer. Be real.
Be prepared - Practice and rehearse well before going for an interview. Many questions are a bit obvious that you have to answer. So practice them 10-12 times before going.
Don't speak for so long- Don't repeat the things that you have already mentioned in your resume.
Homework you should do before going for an interview-
Read thoroughly about the company profile.
Read thoroughly about the Job profile/description.
Know what the company is all about? For who long it(company) is in action? Where it is established? Everything.
I hope all these tips will really help you to clear your interview.
โAll the best for your future endeavoursโ.
