An Important Thing You Need To Know If You Are Diagnosed With Hypothyroidism

Hello everyone, as you all know January is Thyroid awareness month. thyroid disease is unique in the fact that most of the people with a thyroid condition are unaware they have it. Consider yourself lucky if you found about your invisible thyroid problem.

Today I want to share some important things about hypothyroidism, which I have experienced in my life. The shocking truth I found about this disease is , Thyroid medication doesn't fix your thyroid gland. It's really shocking right? Yes it certainly can reduce our TSH level but having the extra hormone, which we take in the form of tablet, doesn't stimulate the thyroid gland to work more efficiently, instead it allows it to exist in it's current and poor functioning state.

As a result even if we tested with a normal condition that means once we start taking medication and we take a blood check, we can see our thyroid level is normal, but our body is remaining in the same condition before. No change in our metabolic rate, that means no weight loss because the main and visible symptom of hypothyroidism is weight gaining.

Certainly there will be some visible changes we can see, once we start the medication, like pain in joints, fatigue etc. will vanish at some extend but the saddest truth is there will be no significant weight loss even if we work hard at gym. At last I found one solution for my self, that I started a strict diet with less carbs and more protein, fruits and veggies and also started a one and half hour strict workout at gym, which includes weight training. I also gave up rice, white sugar, carbonated drinks, processed foods etc. Unfortunately I didn't get a weight loss result but I started shedding off my fat and my size reduced in to a noticeable level even it took some time like 4 months.

But today  I'm so happy with my results and wanted to share it with you all because I know there are many like me( I'm 42 year old ) who think weight loss is impossible with hypothyroidism. But getting back into shape is everything not just weight loss. An important thing, don't concentrate into checking weight every day, because of our condition water retention will be high and we will see a difference of approximately one and half kg. weight difference in one day so just ignore it. Surly your body get a good shape. So it's possible all we need is some patience and a mind which won't give up that easily.

So hope this will help you, will be back soon, Have a nice day all.
