House sparrow (Biological name: Passer domestic) is a bird in the sparrow family Passed.  It is found in most parts of the world.  A sparrow is a small bird.  It is usually 16 cm in length and 24–39.5 g in weight.[3]  Female sparrows and chicks are pale brown and gray in color, and male sparrows have bright black, white, and brown markings.  It is one of the 25 species in the Besser genus.  It is native to most of Europe, Mediterranean regions and most of Asia.  It has been introduced by humans either intentionally or accidentally to Australia, Africa and much of the Americas.  Because of this the sparrow is the most widely distributed wild bird in the world. The sparrow is strongly associated with human habitation.  Thus can live in urban or rural settings.  Although found in a wide variety of habitats and climates, it generally avoids extensive forests, grasslands, and deserts that are remote from human development.  The sparrow feeds mostly on seeds of grains and weeds.  But it is an opportunistic tick.  Commonly eats insects and other foods.  Its predators are domestic cats, voles, owls and many other predatory birds and mammals.

The sparrow is culturally important because of its numbers, ubiquity, and association with human settlements.  It is widely and generally killed because of its damage to agriculture as a failed attempt.  The sparrow is also often kept as a pet.  It is also a common symbol.  Although widespread and abundant, its numbers have declined in some parts of the world.  Its conservation status is listed as a species of Least Concern in the IUCN Red List. The glories of the sparrow are told in the mythology.  Bharatiyar has also pointed out the glories of the sparrow in his poems.  These are mentioned as `Guree' in Purananuttu.  This word later became the wart sparrow.  Sangam literature refers to the sparrow as the 'house sparrow'.  They were so named because they lived fearlessly in human dwellings.[4]Sparrow averages 16 cm.  I am.  will be long.  Usually 14 cm.  I am.  First 18 cm.  I am.  found to be as long as .[3]  It is a small bird with a full chest and a large, round head.  The unit is thick and conical in shape and the length of the upper unit is 1.1 to 1.5 cm.  I am.  There will be size.  Its unit is hard-wired as an adaptation for eating seeds.  Its tail is 5.2 to 6.5 cm.  I am.  Short in length.  Wing chord 6.7 to 8.9 cm.  mm, and ankle 1.6 to 2.5 cm.  I am.  Also length.[5][6]  Its weight ranges from 24 to 39.5 grams.  Female sparrows are usually slightly smaller than male sparrows.  The average weight of both sexes in continental Europe is about 30 grams, and the southern subspecies is about 26 grams.  Younger birds are smaller and males are larger in winter.[7]  Birds of higher latitudes, cooler climates, and sometimes at higher altitudes (according to Bergmann's rule), are larger between subspecies and within subspecies.Their plumage is mostly gray and brown in varying degrees.  Male-female differentiation is strongly expressed in this species: females are mostly yellow-brown above and below.  Males, meanwhile, have red backs with conspicuous head markings, and gray underparts.[9]  The male is dark gray from the top of the unit to it
