Goat (About this sound (help·info)) is a herbivorous mammal. Native to Southwest Asia and Eastern Europe, the goat is one of the earliest domesticated animals. There are more than 300 species of sheep.[1]. Sources suggest that goats have been domesticated since 10,000 years ago.[2] For over a thousand years, goats have been domesticated for their meat, milk, hair, and skin.[3] Nowadays there is a tendency to raise it as a pet.
According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, there are 92.4 million goats in the world. The body weight of goats varies depending on the breed. Smaller goats grow from 20-27 kg in weight, with larger goats such as the Boer goat weighing up to 140 kg.
Horns

Most goats naturally have two horns. Their shape and size vary depending on the species. Their horns are made of bone surrounded by proteins such as keratin. The goat`s horns are used for their protection and to guard their dominance and boundaries.
Digestion and lactation

Goats are ruminants and have a four-chambered stomach. Like other ungulates, they have bilobed hooves. There are two combs in the lap of the goats. However exceptionally the Boer goat alone may have up to eight combs.[5]

Kita and petiyadu both have beards.Wild goat (Capra aegagrus) is a species of goat found widely from Europe to Asia Minor to Central Asia and the Middle East. This is the ancestor of the domestic goat.
These animals live in groups of up to 500 in the forest. Kids will be alone. The gestation period of wild goats is 170 days. A goat usually gives birth to only one kid. The cubs are capable of following their mother immediately after birth. The lifespan of these goats is 12 to 22 years. Ibex is a wild goat. It is a genus. This goat is the ancestor of nine breeds of goats. In India they are found in the Himalayas.
These wild goats are mountain animals. They can climb bare rocks and forage for food and are very active. Restrictive. The male goat has a long beard and long flat curved horns. Female goats have smaller horns. Their color varies according to the season. Grayish yellow in winter, dark brown with mottled male goats in hot summer, and yellowish brown in female goats. It is believed to be the ancestor of nine breeds of goatsThe Spanish mountain goat or Iberian mountain goat [2] belongs to the mountain goat subspecies of the four sheep species found in Spain. Two of these species are found in the Iberian Peninsula. The other two species became extinct. They cloned the extinct Portuguese mountain goat subspecies in 1892 and the extinct Pyrenean mountain goat subspecies in 2000. But one of them was born and survived until 2003. Another died of respiratory failure within minutes of birth. [3]
