Hey guys welcome to my blog. In today's blog I am going to discuss some serious matter which is still existing in our society and all around the world ,that is “Child Labour”.
Today 12th of June, the world against Child Labour is held every year to stop this child labour and to foster them with good amount of facilities and to nourish them in a possible way.
But are we really taking any initiative for such sensitive and serious matter?
I guess no.
So today I am going to share some of my honest opinion on today's most sensitive and important topic i.e “Stop Child Labour”
Child Labour refers to the exploitation of a child in any manner which deprives them from their childhood and prohibits them of attending regular schools. Due to which it usually interferes with their mental, physical, social and moral state. In some poorer countries almost one out of four children are engaged in child labour.
Although such exploitation are prohibited worldwide, still we can see many examples of child labour in our surroundings such as in places like in tea stalls, janitor, fireworks factories, bangle and glass factories, mining, home based operations, construction places etc.
In some places these poor innocent children had to work for more than 12 hours shift.
They indulge in many activities such as in cleaning utensils in restaurants etc. Child trafficking is also practiced illegally in many countries which is very shameful. Innocent children at very young age become the victim of such nuisance.
Some factors such as poverty and lack of schooling are considered as the main cause of child labour.
Nowadays almost in every country the implementation of child labour laws by the government organization led to the downfall of child labour to some extent.
Some of the global organization such as World bank, UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), ILO ( International Labour Organization have taken keen initiative to overcome this battle.
There are some laws made by the Government of India related to child labour . They are as follows:
• Non light work can be done by children aged between 12-14 years. Such non light work are defined as the work done by the children which shouldn't affect with their health and development and should not interfere with their attendance in school.
• Hazardous work can be done by children aged between 15-17 years.
Under article 1 of the 1990 convention has defined as “ Every human being below the age of eighteen years, unless under the law applicable to the child”.
Article 28 requires state to make “primary education compulsary for poorer children and available free to them”.
So guys from now on we promise each other to take some initiative from our side to help this country to overcome such malpractice and to nourish and provide a decent education to such under privileged children.
