A Star and it's Moon: A Poem~
 

I was like a Star

burning alone at night

due to inner fire;

Was in search of calmness;

Never saw sunshine;

Never felt coldness;

After many years of self-burning

You came like a Moon

filled my voids;

You have the warmth of the Sun and coolness of the Uranus;

I wasn't having any aim,

time used to go in vain,

till you came;

You became part of my life which wasn't having any meaning before;

But;

I am jealous of the Earth

around which you revolve;

I am jealous of its gravitational pull which attracts you more than my affection for you;

I want to be the Earth;

Not to make you revolve around me;

Not to make you attracted towards me;

But;

To make you my Sun then revolve around you;

To make myself attracted towards you;

I want to revolve around you only;

I want to be attracted towards you only;

You will be my Sun;

You will be my Moon;

You will be my everything;

My day will start with your shine and end with your charm;

I was like a star 

burning alone at night

in the whole~big sky

till you came

gave me an aim;

Hello readers!!!

This write-up or the poem was written by me, few months ago.

Writing dates were : 25 June, 29 June, 1 July, 2 July 2021;

I wrote this one, during the start of my interest in writing poems though I am fond of listening various kinds of poems from a very long time ,mostly in hindi but I never tried my hands for writing one of my own and I am also not good at creating poems but still I tried and I am still trying to improve my writing skills. 

I am having few friends who are also writers and I truly love reading their writing works though most of them write poems and stories only for themselves, not interested in sharing them on official platforms; I had encouraged them alot but according to them; 

What if the readers wouldn't be able to feel the same as I did while creating it? My efforts will go in vain!

Here, I am having a question:

As Julia Quinn wrote in her novel, Romancing Mister Bridgerton :

Did it matter what a man wrote if no one ever read it? Did words have meaning if they were never heard?
