hello guys ! how is your diwali preps going on ? bought new dress ? boxed up the crackers ? all set ? oops ! i forgot something , yes , sweeets ! how can we skip this , right ? diwali snacks are something special and mandatory too . like murukku , rava laddu , gulab jamun , adhirasam . these are some mandatory diwali snacks that they make in my home .but, all these can be tasty , when it comes to health , nah !  so i have come up with  a new dish more healthier , yet tasty ! that is like a ladoo using millets and  lots of nuts ! sooo, let's dive into it !

tasty dry balls [ the name which i kept 😅]

serves : 10 - 12 [ based on size we make  ]

INGREDIENTS :

  1. JOWER - [CHOLAM] - 1 CUP
  2. PEARL - [KAMBU] - 1 CUP
  3. FOXTAIL MILLET  - [THINAI]- 1 CUP
  4. FINGER MILLET - [RAGI]  - 1 / 2 CUP
  5. BROWN SUGAR - 1 CUP
  6. GHEE - ½ CUP
  7. CASHEWS AND BADAMS

PROCESS :

  • First if you have the fine powder of these millets , then its good , but if you don't have , then do this .
  • take the mentioned millets in appropriate quantities and dry roast each of  them separately until it's color changed into brown and don't burn it .  then cool them in the room temperature for 10 - 15 minutes .
  • now take those roasted millets and grind them into a fine coarse . after preparing the powder , it's gonna be simple .
  • first take the jower [ cholam ] powder and once again roast it .
  • then , do the same for  the other millet powders [ foxtail , finger , pearl and you can also use the millets of your choice ] .
  • transfer them into a large  bowl.
  • then again turn your brown sugar into a fine powder and mix it with the millets powder without forming any lumps .
  •  now crush some cashew nuts and badams and fry them in ghee .you can also add raisins and pumpkin seeds for rich taste .
  • add the nuts the millet powder . mix them well .
  • now taste the powder and check of the sugar level , add it if it's low or your powder is ready to make ladoos .
  • now heat up a half cup of ghee .
  • add the ghee to the powder little by little and start rolling the powder into small sized balls .
  • do it when the ghee is hot , or else the balls will not be firm and there are chances to break .
  • that's it , our tasty , healthy balls are ready !

try it out guys !

#happy diwali 🎉🌟
