Cinnamon- For Headache And Migraine

Headache is one of the most common medical complaint in today's life. Some experience it occasionally whereas most of them experience it on regular basis including me. Our modern lifestyle and exposure to mobile and laptop screen is one of the causes of headaches , but cant help. This is how today's life is. The most common cause of headache is muscle tension which is caused by stress, lack of sleep, traffic jams, travelling, etc. etc. because the list doesn't end here.

People often opt for a painkiller in this situation which is of course a quick and effective solution but has an adverse effect on our body , especially our kidneys. The regular intake of painkillers is something which our body cannot afford. Therefore we can go for a natural, safe and effective option, which we all have in our kitchen- Cinnamon

It is a miracle spice, having wonderful benefits. In fact it has been prized for its medicinal properties. It's not just a spice that adds flavor to your food but it can be your best friend in bad times of your day.

Also headaches can be a major problem when it comes to social events like parties, travelling or at work. I always keep  this travelling friendly treatment in my pocket which I make using cinnamon. For the first time I heard about this from my mother as she use to make this for one of my cousin. The day since I became a victim of migraine I was never disappointed with this recipe. Lets jump ahead with the making procedure which is so simple.

Cinnamon paste

How to make:- Rub a cinnamon stick on a rough piece of stone that most of the Indians have it at home, though we don't use it anymore. Its the grinding stone or sil batta in hindi. Keep dipping the stick in water and keep making  paste of it rubbing on the stone. Collect it in a container, a lip balm container is just perfect. Apply this paste to the temples and on the third eye (the point between eyebrows) as shown in the cover photo. Also apply to the points wherever you feel the ache. Keep this in your bag like forever ,take it along wherever you go. With this you might even help a friend who has a headache, isn't it cool?

Inhaling it every now and then , when the pain just begins, releases tension in the muscle, open the blocked senses and helps ease headache, as it's aroma is soothing, calming and relaxing.
