When Mani Ratnam announced Ponniyin Selvan, the project sparked a great deal of interest among movie buffs. Individuals stood by enthusiastically to watch the film which is the true to life transformation of Kalki Krishnamurthy's Ponniyin Selvan. When the first part of the movie, Ponniyin Selvan I, came out last year, movie fans all over the country were disappointed because the characters' names didn't connect with anyone except the Tamil audience. The second part of the movie, Ponniyin Selvan II, will now be released on April 28, 2023. However the subsequent part is conveying a low buzz, the creators are sure, that the subsequent part will engage film darlings to the center as there will be no disarray. Let's see what Ponniyin Selvan II had to offer moviegoers, starring Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Shobhita Dhulipala. The film's OTT freedoms have been stowed by Amazon Prime Video and the screening will be finished after the finish of its dramatic run.Since Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 did so well at the box office in 2021, it doesn't need any more introduction. The first part of the movie ended with a lot of questions for the audience. People who had read Kalki's book were eager to see how Mani Ratnam would adapt it for the big screen, and those who hadn't were just waiting to see what questions would come to mind.
After watching the movie, I agree with actor Jayam Ravi, who plays the titular character, who stated in PS 2 promotion that PS 1 was just a trailer and that PS 2 is the movie.
PS 1 travels through each character's character development. It was like building a basement so that PS 2 would make a real impression on the audience when we watched it.
PS as a whole: 1 and 2 discussions about the disdain, lost love, avarice, retaliation, the dull political game which we habitually see in our current lives.
Screenplay of Mani Ratnam, Jeyamohan, Elango Kumaravel had given 100 percent equity to Kalki Krishnamurthy unique content.
When it came to their performances, the main characters did an excellent job. On the off chance that To some degree 1 if we would see the standout execution of Trisha, in PS 2 it was Aishwarya who gotten everyone's attention. She was exceptional in both her Nandini and Mandakini roles. Aishwarya was able to transform herself into these characters well, portraying Nandini's vengeance, rage, and sadness on the one hand and Mandakini's immense homage to the Chola kingdom on the other.
Chiyaan Vikram's performance was also noteworthy because his screen presence was greater in this section, allowing us to see his magic more clearly.
The 10 minutes of the scene in which Vikram and Aishwarya meet and just express themselves, directed by Mani Ratnam and supported by Vikram and Aishwarya's stellar performance, will make the audience believe that the lost love should be reunited. Amazing scene in PS: The second ARR musical score intensifies the situation.
The peak shot wherein Jayam Ravi stoops down post the conflict triumph, the BGM subsequently gave a goosebumps second.
PS overall: Because it is a film that is only made once in a lifetime, Part 2 felt like it could be watched again.
