Hey everyone , it's my first blog. I hope you guys will support and love my piece.
Coming to the Headline 'why you should not do 'YOGA' ? '
Answer is , only If you don't want to live a healthy , disease free , stress free and most importantly peaceful life .
In our Mechanical World , a big chunk of our daily life is taken by social media or machines. Couples of decades ago , a minimum physical activities were there in every profession but now physical activities becomes so less , we can say zero.So anxiety , depression, loneliness, lack of confidence became normal these days.
Answer to all these problems is YOGA. Yoga is group of physical , mental and spiritual discipline originated in Ancient India. Lord Shiva is the father of Yoga , he is Adiyogi , the first yogi. FYI Patanjali is the father of modern Yoga.
There are four types of Yoga :-
1) Karma yoga:- It is also known as karma marga. It is a path of selfless action . According to Karma yoga , selfless actions are the key to the Salvation.
2) Bhakti yoga :- Also known as Bhakti marga . It is a path of spiritual practices to the personal deity , which leads to Moksha , salvation.
3)Jnana yoga :- It is also known as Jnana marga. It is a path of gaining knowledge and being self realised. According to Jnana marga, you should find yourself through knowledge.
4) Kriya yoga :- It is a yoga of action . There are three types of actions - asceticism , recitation and devotion to the Lord. Kriya yoga consists of various types of Pranayam , mudras and mantras , which gives agility to the body and reduces stress . Kriya yoga was brought to international awareness by Paramahansa yogananda's book ‘autobiography of yogi’.
I'm not going to tell about history of yoga , it is easily accessible online.
Basically Yoga is all about breathing exercises, Asanas(postures) , chants and meditations. It will help you to improve lung functions and immunity and reduce stress and provides agility to your body.
If you are a beginner , you can start by doing some simple Asanas, like Sukhasana , Padmasana , Vajrasana and some pranayam like Anulom-Vilom, Bhastrika and Bhramari. You can also practise ‘Suryanamaskar’. Surya namaskar , salute to the sun , is a group of twelve asanas. You can do this in two sets .
It will definitely help you. I hope You will achieve new goals through Yoga. Thanks.
