How To Make Chicken Biriyani

 Chicken Biryani is an Indian dish that is both flavorful and colorful. It’s a classic dish that’s often served at special occasions and festivals.

 Ingredients: - 2 cups of Basmati rice - 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable or canola oil - 2 lbs of boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1” cubes - 2 tablespoons of ginger-garlic paste - 1 large onion, finely chopped - 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds - 2 teaspoons of coriander powder - 1 teaspoon of garam masala - 1 teaspoon of red chili powder - 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder - 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped cilantro - 1/2 cup of plain yogurt - Salt to taste - 1/2 cup of freshly chopped mint leaves - 1/2 cup of frozen peas - 1/2 cup of fried onions

 Instructions: 

1. Begin by washing the rice and soaking it in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes.

 2. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds. 3. Add the chopped onion and sauté for a few minutes until the onion turns golden brown. 

4. Add the ginger-garlic paste and stir for a minute

. 5. Add the chicken cubes and sauté for a few minutes until they turn golden brown. 

6. Add the coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Stir until the spices are well combined. 

7. Add the yogurt and stir until it is fully incorporated.

 8. Add the cilantro, mint leaves, peas, and fried onions. Stir until everything is combined.

 9. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot. Stir until everything is combined. 

10. Add 2 cups of water and bring the mixture to a boil. 

11. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a lid, and let the biryani simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is cooked through.

 12. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and serve it with a side of raita. Enjoy!
