Six of crows have characters which are Grey, they are low on morals, because their main goal is to survive. It is dark and mature and hence not for everyone. But along with the darkness, there is also sassiness, wit and sarcasm. There are twist and turns All said six of crows is a great read for someone who is is ready to feel a great number of emotions and want some adventure, all from the confidence of their own room. 

Kaz Brekker has a knack for escaping the most unlikely situations. That is why he is the only one according to a City Council man who could enter the ice court and rescue the scientist who created Jurda Parem. It is a drug supposed to enhance the abilities of a Grisha to manipulate materials at a molecular level even further; but in reality it makes them capable of Extraordinary things, which should never happen and causing very bad addiction with just a single dose. If made commercial Jurda Parem would lead to disaster of catastrophic levels. So Kaz and his crew of Misfits are hired for this deadly Heist. Deadly because the ice Court has never been breached and if they get caught, they are as good as dead. But the intention of the Council man are not as good as they seem to be. 

The world building by Leigh Bardugo is lush and detailed. We can't seem to find any gap in between. (But one would have to read our first series to understand it better) Maps are provided in the book to understand it better The plot Line Is Well thought and well executed. The characters do not fall flat but have layers in their personalities. They are not perfect and good people;some of them are morally Grey or even darker. They might seem extraordinary but are flawed, they make bad decisions and this makes them feel all the more real. 

In today's scenario where readers  are demanding more diversity and representation from the authors and their books, six of crows does quite a good job providing just that. We can see Geographical diversity in the world author has created. Characters are diverse in their race, body structures and also in their sexuality. One of them is also slightly disabled.
