Holi, Diwali, Dussehra, Janmashtami, Ganesh Utsav, Mahashivratri, Rath Yatra etc are some of the popular festivals celebrated grandly in the Indian subcontinent.

Among all these festivals the Rath Yatra or Car festival celebrated in Odisha is one of the amazing festivals, celebrated in the month of Ashadha (June or July ). It is not only celebrated in Odisha or India rather is celebrated worldwide in a grand manner.

The Deities of The Puri Jagannath temple, Shri Balabhadra, Shri Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Sri Sudarshan make a visit from the SriMandir to Gundicha temple for nine days. This entire festival is celebrated for over a month between June to July.

And this celebration is filled with many mysterious rituals.

Right Starting from the marriage of the series till their quarrel almost all of the above rituals are just the same as human behaviour in daily life. On the Eleventh day after the new moon in June, the Deties observe the marriage of Lord Jagannath with Lakshmi. Then after they observe the ritualistic bath or grand bath on the full moon day. With this bathing ritual, the mystery begins.

The three deities worshipped in the Golden Sanctum of Puri Jagannath Temple Come out of their temple and take a bath on another sanctum called Snnan Vedi. Then after in evining, the three deities are severely attacked by fever due to excessive bathing.

The doctors assigned by the Royal family of The King Of Odisha popularly called vaidya provides medication to the deities.

After getting cured the three gods visit their aunt Ardhashoshini.

Where they remain for 7 days and return after seven days the fest is over. When they visit their aunt Lord Jagannath leaves behind his wives Sridevi and Bhudevi to save the Indian tradition.

Hence the lord has to face his angry wives and please them by  Gifts and Rasogulla.

Hence all these rituals of Lord Jagannath show despite being a deity or a divine power Lord acquires many personified qualities just to satisfy his or her devotee's thoughts and imaginations hence lord takes incarnation to fulfil the desires of devotee.
