Thinning Hair With No Hair Growth: 8 Reasons Behind It

Many people must have faced the stages of no hair growth, increased hair fall and loss of hair health.  But the truth is that the reasons behind this are often manifold.  There are some reasons around us which destroy the health of hair.  It is not only the oil and shampoo that we use but also some other reasons that cause health challenges.  Normally, each strand of hair on our scalp goes through its growth phase.  Some are tall, some are short and some are stunted.
But sometimes hair growth stops suddenly and the thickness of existing hair decreases.  No matter how many solutions are found, the real reason cannot be found, but this article talks about some such changes and problems.  Let's take a look at what these steps are that can damage the health of your hair and what you need to be aware of.

Genetic mutations
Like our hair color, hair length and thickness are all controlled by genes.  Therefore, some people grow hair very quickly, while others grow very little.  The best example of this is that Asians have very fast hair growth, while Afro-Caribbean Caucasians have very slow hair growth.  This is why their hair often does not grow back quickly.
old age
Aging is something that puts our entire body in trouble.  Aging also affects the health of our hair.  This causes your hair to lose pigment and slowly turn gray.  But it stops hair growth and does this time.  Hair naturally stops growing with age.
Alopecia areata
Alopecia areata is an autoimmune condition where your immune system attacks the cells in your hair follicle itself, resulting in hair loss in a specific area.  It has a lot to do with genetics.  People with vitiligo, Down syndrome, anemia, thyroid disease, and asthma are more likely to develop alopecia areata.  But a good percentage of people are like this.
Hereditary baldness
Hereditary baldness also deserves a lot of attention.  Some people go bald as they age.  The reason for this can often be aging, hormone levels and heredity.  They often have short hairs instead of normal hair growth due to the influence of testosterone.  As a result of this, hair growth stops in some people.  In many people, it is first seen on the front of the forehead.  Later it may spread to each part.  In women, it leads to a gradual receding of the forehead in the form of hair loss.
pressure
Mental and physical stress should also be taken care of.  This poses a challenge to your hair health and causes hair fall.  As a result, about 30% of your hair stops growing.  So care should be taken to avoid things that stress the body and mind as much as possible.
Hormonal changes
Hair loss often increases during pregnancy, postpartum and menopause in women.  The main reason for this is often sudden hormonal changes.  But this type of hair loss resolves within two years.  Hormonal changes associated with polycystic ovarian syndrome can also lead to hair loss in some people.
Thyroid
People with thyroid problems should be careful.  Among them, the fluctuation of thyroid hormone, which controls a good percentage of the body's functions, creates problems.  It also leads to hair loss.  If you have an underactive thyroid, you may have other symptoms.  It can result in weight loss, irregular heartbeat, anxiety, increased sweating, diarrhea, muscle weakness, and in case of hypothyroidism, lethargy, constipation, chills, decreased sweating, and weight gain.
Protein deficiency
Protein is essential for the health of the body.  But understand that it is also essential for the health of your hair.  Nutritional deficiencies in iron, protein, zinc, or biotin can also negatively affect the health of your hair.  When you experience hair loss, you know that malnutrition can also hinder hair growth.  Iron deficiency is the main cause of hair loss.  A deficiency in zinc, biotin or protein can also cause hair loss.  All these things can lead to hair growth problems and hair crisis.
