Hey guys, welcome back!
Let me get straight to my today's blog. I just got a chilly gnawing feeling that my 22nd year is almost over. It's just a few weeks away. And then....I remembered how I celebrated my first day of this year with Taylor Swift's song '22' as the first song also the voice I heard that day. Suddenly, I felt an urge to Google anything. So, I googled like, 'the specialty of age 22', and the very first website came, clicked on it. So, here I am, blogging about those things which I felt related to me out of those 22 things I found in that website. I made some changes making it relating to me 'caz it's content is almost 7 yrs old. If u wanna refer the real one, link is in the bottom, go check it out🙃.
This is more like a conversation or a questionnaire, whatsoever u prefer. So, let me start:
1. Having a panic attack when you realize that u r not a student/in college anymore:
Yeah...I felt that too. More like a realisation of the fact that the freedom to be irresponsible/to goof around is not there anymore.
2. The anxiety of what's next gnaws you from inside:
Even though I knew that it's about getting a job, but it felt quite strange at first. Like"is this really how it usually goes?"
3. Your struggle to make the perfect CV/resume:
It was quite the hardest part when u have nothing to write in the experience section😅
4. The panic to be active on social medias like LinkedIn and all:
I did create a LinkedIn profile with much enthusiasm in the beginning but now it is almost inactive.
5. You realize that you have to let go of so many things:
If this is about the freedom to be carefree and jollying with your friends....yeah.
6. You're independent and your parents are having a hard time grasping that idea:
Don't know whether my parents have realized that I am independent. Or maybe...never.
7. WhatsApp group chats flooding with news of your schoolmates/ college mates getting married:
Indeed! There's only a few including me left among my college mates. You can guess about school part then😄
8. Starting to like staying home rather than going out:
Yeah....It happens so.
9. Another panic attack thinking maybe you're getting old:
That's one of that gnawing feeling which made me Google this whole thing in the first place. I never felt that way before or more likely I never cared about aging. Not 'that getting old' fear, is just I don't wanna leave 22. I wanna stay here in 22... don't know why. If u ask, there's no particular reason....NOT 'caz it's the best year or anything.... Maybe 'cause of that beautiful rhyme of the number; "TWENTY TWO" 😜. I know I'm being ridiculous. But I know one thing, I am not yet ready to leave this year behind, maybe 'caz there's still more things for me to do in the bucket list.
10. Desperately trying to cope up with your present life as in the old days and failing to do so:
Definitely. Feels like getting more and more busy, but if anybody asks what I am doing, a big NADA.
11. True friend being there as always:
Yep.... Also realising 'True Frnts'
12. Finally about to move on from the past:
Yeah.... It happened so as the time goes
13. You don't feel so guilty about checking out men/woman:
Didn't feel even before so. Now that I do have the privilege of being an adult, quite enjoying it 😄
14. And you also find your parents trying to understand you:
A BiG NO!
15. You find yourselves closer to finding your own inner peace:
I always had my own inner peace.
16. Realising that life isn't perfect:
That stage has already happened in my life.
Hahaha…I do feel so satisfied after sharing this with you. It's quite strange…. As I have been an introvert my whole life and I don't share my things that much. Give a like if u liked this blog👇. Also comment below if u felt the same when u get past your 22 or are waiting for it to come eagerly 😊
