The truth about everyone's life
The rich, the poor, the officials, the rulers, the scholars, the laity look to God when confronted. This turns them to temples and towers where one can resort to spiritual masters. Teachers say two good words to alleviate their grief. The stories of those who worked harder than before are comforting.
Once there was a famous poet in Japan named Issa. He was the one who made " haiku" poetry flow freely. His full name is Kobayashi Issa. Issa is one of the four leading haiku poets (The Great Four) in Japan. Issa is the name of his pen. It means 'cup of tea'. Issa suffered a lot at a young age. He was very sad. Isaac's mother died when he was three years old. His foster grandmother closed her eyes when he was fourteen. The father married someone else. Issa was looked down upon by his stepmother. Before he was thirty years old, five children died one after another. After that, the wife he loved so much died.
Thus he experienced tragedy throughout his life. Those hardships conveyed all the poetry and philosophy of life. Issa that diseases, deaths, hardships suffocated one after the other. One day Issac asked a Zen, "Why is there so much suffering in this world?".
Then the teacher asked for all his details. Issa singled out the tragedy of his life.
Issac replied that "I'm a poet. Always lonely, silent, poetically shaped the thoughts that struck me. My mother and grandmother died when I was a child. By the time I was thirty, five children had fallen before my eyes. My wife had slipped away from me. Why did all these things happen in my life? And What is this death?.
Zen teacher replied with a smile, this is life and Life is like a dewdrop falling in the morning. Bringing death along is a feature of life. There does not have to be any particular cause of death. A drop of dew falling on a leaf in the morning drops with any small wind. It evaporates as soon as the sun rises and sets. Never forget what anyone's life is like yours but sad things happen at different intervals of time.
This eternal truth must always be remembered. Those words were very distressing to Isa. All these things were not unfamiliar to him, but they came out of the teacher's mouth with wonderful new power, so that the words worked like medicine for Isa.
Never think that you are the only one who is having problems.
