One of my childhood friends the other day narrated her horrible experience at a hospital in Kolkata.She had admitted her father in a hospital as his sodium levels had fallen drastically he just needed a drip that's it, there was no breathing issue nor did he have any other symptom related to covid moreover even his covid report was negative. The doctors out there did all sorts of things like CT scan, different kinds of blood tests and MRI instead of giving him the simple treatment which was required. Her father's condition got worse and he started bleeding profusely from his mouth, the doctors were clueless about what was happening  The doctors asked my friend to arrange for blood in the middle of the night eventually left this world due to excessive blood loss and cardiac arrest.

However after her father's death the doctors said her father was covid positive, they struck off the line in the covid report which mentioned the word negative with a pen and wrote positive instead. Before they could figure out what was happening the hospital authority told them that they would not get his body nor can they see his cremation or get the left over ashes.

That wasn't enough, to add to her horror when she went to collect her father's death certificate from the KMC office she discovered that there were no records of her father's body in the KMC office they told her no such body had come to them for cremation and they have no record of her father. The hospital authority didn't bother to answer any of her questions. She managed to get a death certificate somehow from the KMC but till date has no clue of what happened to her deceased father's body.She wants to file a petition but her mother and other relatives have stopped her as they know doctors and hospital authority will get away with anything they do.

Indeed it's high time we do something about all that is happening in the name of covid and punish the culprits... It's an appeal please listen to what your patient says and don't trust the doctors blindly and be very careful about where you are taking your patient and whether the hospital is trustworthy or not check google reviews don't just follow what random people say.
