My Experience During My Ncc Parade

First day on my NCC parade, I was very curious to know what they are going to teach. They took us to the parade ground and started to take report. Then the real parade started, they started to check the turnouts like haircut, shaving, nails cut, proper uniform etc. Then they made the seperate contigent who didn't follow the rules of turnouts. then they started to give punishment, I thought that punishment would be very difficult but it went more on my expectation, the punishment was like hell, first was jogging. the ground was was 2 acre I thought it would be some 2 to 3 round but they said to jog ten rounds, I felt tired while listening itself. then we started to jog 5 rounds completed, I felt so much tired I stopped for while, they started to scream โ€œdo it or get out of NCCโ€ then we completed 10 rounds, all the energy was drained out of my body, then they started to give 50 sit ups, 100 push ups, frog jump one round whole ground. each and every time I felt โ€œwhy we have to do thisโ€ after punishment they gave 10 min break I felt very happy, after 5 min the sweat was flowing like river, full uniform got soaked with the sweat. then i drank water and got relaxed thinking about this training. after 10 min sharp we assembled in the ground then they started to explain why is punishment is like this. they said that all these training is for your physical fitness, then after 2-3 parades I got use to it. For the discipline contigent, first was warm up. It was same as what we did in punishment but it was less number of rounds like 3 round jogging, 25 sit ups, 50 push ups etc. Then they started to teach the NCC drill. While marching for the first time I thought it would be easy but it was also little difficult. Then the left turn right turn it felt little easy. All these training it took more than 6 months to become perfect then at last I learnt unity among the people while marching, sharpness while turning, discipline while wearing uniform over come the difficult by taking punishment, punctuality while assembling on the ground on a time. All these I learnt during my NCC parade. All these training in my first year of NCC made me a perfect cadet. And now in my second year I became a responsible cadet were I get lots of works to do like taking class to the juniors, taking it charge of college functions and etc. Now I am prepared to attend the camps. And I gained a lot of knowledge during the camps. All these experience as changed my lifestyle and now I am very thankful to NCC.

NCC is the best way were u can gain a lot of knowledge more than that, a discipline and responsibility of a citizen
