When Hanu Raghavapudi debuted the beautiful Andala Rakshashi in 2012, audiences had high hopes for him, but they have somewhat dashed thanks to subsequent films. Because looking back past all the beauty, there's a gap in logic that needs to be nagged. Needless to say, Sita Ramam doesn't go from people feeling touched enough to reach out to a stranger to a particular sequence in which Ram is flooded with letters from all over the country. As Afreen learns more about Ram and Sita, so do you. But the way the story unfolds assumes that Sita, nothing could have been predicted about Vishnu (Samanth) - a comrade who always seemed jealous even to Ram and Afrin - that you should pay due attention. It's good that Hanu is tying all the knots and doing his best to provide enough answers for Afrin, Balaji, and us, but it's also a question of how many Dharkar and Murnal attract attention in Sita Ramam. For a movie like this to work, it needs to be invested in the story, and the actors do a good job of ensuring that.
