Violence is a very serious social threat. Not only it results into causing health issues to the victim but also develop a negative impact on the society. It severely dominates social thinking. Intolerance among the society increases. Constant terror environment resulting due to frequent violence, because of which progress of society is stunted in every field whether it is educational, economical, moral growth, medical, etc.
Why does the violence happen?
1. Political Agenda
2. Fanatic Religious Faith
3. For creating terror and harming group of people
4. Protesting an act or rule
5. Protest criminal social issues which turns into violence
6. To gain power, money, etc.
Political agenda: To oppose the government existing in power, some opposition parties point out the moral or social wounds due to which society is suffering for several years or a period. But due to some barriers, it becomes impossible for the government in power to resolve that at the same time which is not suitable for resolving it. There can be several reasons e.g., moral values of that party in power, fear of getting trolled from another group, safety, and welfare of part of society. But as this protest from opponent parties satisfies the other specific part of society, that part gets provoked and promotes the political agenda blindly. The extent of getting provoked crosses the limit and results into the violence.
Fanatic Religious faith: Violence happening because of fanatic religious faith is not new to us. It has been there since ancient and middle ages. Forcing a group of people to get converted into other religion and if they resist to do so, they are treated in a very brutal or barbaric manner. Previously, many cold-blooded executions have been done under the name of religion. This is very inhuman behavior. Even today, in some countries, forceful and brutal conversions involving tremendous physical and mental torture are still going on. This should be stopped now. Otherwise, what difference would remain between us humans and monsters?
To create terror: To fulfill particular social, moral, or regional motive, some social evils living in our society deliberately create terrorism and disturb the peace of society. We do not believe in such evil and all such things. But there are some people living in our society who spread this kind of an ideology and create a terror kind of an atmosphere which disturbs the peace and safety of the society. The existence of such hidden terror minded people living in our society are themselves “The Social Evils”.
Protesting an act or rule: Most of the times, we see that the mob of protesting people choose to act violently over having a peaceful conversation. This is not the right way to protest. Because of this what happens is, a particular ideology provokes people to act violently and injure innocent people for just protesting a disappointing law or act whether it is favorable or against the welfare of society. Injuring or killing innocent people is a very terrible sin which violent protestors do.
Violent protest criminal social issues: It is totally fair to peacefully protest the criminal social issues. But the protest turning into an act of violence is another crime as it involves human race. So, these kinds of violent behavior and the mindset of people needs to be changed now.
Violently Harassing Women: How can we say that we are living in an independent nation if the women in our country still can not live independently with safety and security?
Elections: Tremendous amount of violence is spread during the elections. This is due to several ideologies and discordance in them.
Some Solutions to avoid the spread of violence: -
Here is what we can do to stop the spread of such kind of a trauma,
1) Follow the LAW
2) Tolerance of people should be increased.
3) We should follow the teachings of our religions, as no religion promotes Violence.
4) Proper education and literacy should be provided to aware people about the harmful effects of spreading such a violent behavior.
Violence is a very serious sin to do. It can happen at any stage; lot of innocent people get badly injured and often killed brutally or unfortunately in it. Violence of any sort whether it may be terrorism, political agenda, forceful religious conversions, protests, etc. is the major threat to the world right now in our opinion. This can only be stopped by changing the mindset of the people. So let us all get together and eradicate this from its roots and establish a peaceful and safe atmosphere in our society. Let us all bring this change in the society.
