Hello readers!! I'm back with another blog to tell you about some rarely known hill stations in India which you would never want to miss.
A 5 hour drive away from Nainital, is located a quaint town called Kausani. Surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks on all sides, this village is covered with blue pine and chir forests and is well known for the spectacular view of Himalayan peaks like Trishul and Panchachuli. Home to more than 50 species of birds like barbet, robin and fork tail, Kausani is a paradise for bird lovers. Other destinations to visit near Kausani are Ranikhet and Baijnath. It is ideal for the short escape from your hectic life.
Best time to visit such serene village is from September to May, where March to May gives you that summer vibes and October to February are snowy months or Kausani. You can reach this hill station by all means, although taking roads would definitely serve your eyes with the beauty of nature even more.
Located high in the Shivalik Hills in the Solan district of Shimla, Arki is the smallest town of Himachal Pradesh, is known for the stunning views it offers to its visitors. After the addition of the Arki's Fort-palace in the ranks of Indian heritage hotels, this town became a tourist attraction. This Fort with lavish interiors touched with Rajput and Mughal style of architecture, gives visitors a splendid view of the surrounding landscape. From slow walking in nature to climbing hills or even observing birds, are enough to heal your chaosed life.
Best time to visit this blissful village is from March to October. winters are extreme during November to February. One can get there via air, rail and road as well.
Covered with misty hills and valleys, Idukki is the hill district of Kerala. Despite being the second-largest district, it is very lightly populated which adds a peaceful vibe to the natural charm of Idukki. It is also well known for the adventurous tourism it offers to its visitors like mountain trekking and hiking. Elephant rides are speciality of Idukki.
Not only this much, this district also offers you beautiful waterfalls, wildlife sanctuaries, religious centres and reservoirs. Popular destinations like Munnar, Thekkady and Peerumedu are all part of Idukki. Being rich in forests, it is also known as βSpice Garden of Kerala". Winters are the best to get close to the heart of Kerala, from November to February.
Located in the Dang district o Gujarat, Saputara also known as βthe abode of Serpentsβ, is a popular hill station surrounded by green forests, high mountains, cascading waterfalls and winding roads. Eco-lovers and wildlife enthusiasts find Saputara a perfect gateaway to find placidity. Being known as the habitat of snake, snakes of this region are worshipped by the tribals. Hatgadh Fort, Vansda National Park, Artist village Gira falls and Saputara lake are some popular attractions of this hill station.
Maximum tourists are attracted to this hill station from October to February during winters, but December and January are special as every year a 26 days paragliding festival is held during this time due to which Saputara is also known as India's famous paragliding destination.
