I am back with another blog to share 5 best places which make monsoon more pleasant than ever. Apparently, there is not a single soul who loathes rain but even if there is, then these places that I'm going to share below would definitely win your heart.
Western Ghats, which receives the second highest rainfall in India, is THE place if you want to experience monsoon in full glory. Numerous streams of this region, during monsoon, lead to spectacular waterfalls along this entire region. Sakleshpur, a land of coffee plantations, is famous for its subtropical climate and hospitable homestays. Offbeat cycling through coffee plantations is must. Balur, in Malenadu, is rich with waterfalls and lush green plantations which is requisite during monsoons. One should not miss a ride through Kudremukh National Park and Agumbe Rainforest Reserve Station to behold its verdant greenery and rich biodiversity. Nearby forts are also huge attractions for visitors. Maravanthe Beach, a private escape for nature enthusiast, is one of the best beaches in India when it rains. Kundadri, Jog gundi and Sirimane falls and Kupaali serves the best views to the visitors. Temples of Kollur and Kavaledurga and nearby sanctuaries also worth visit.
Monsoon in Lonavala and its beauty attracts people from entire Maharashtra. Popularly known as Mansoon Lake, Lonavala lake, is famous for different species of fauna and birds along the banks during rainy season. Pawna Lake camping is the best site near Lonavala if you want to enjoy lake side camping, boating and sitting around campfire with friends and family. Dudhiware and Kune waterfalls are bewitching sights during monsoons. The most impressive monument according to Archaeological Survey of India, Chaityagraha of Karla-Bhaja caves, is homed to Lonavala. Lions-tigers point near Ambey Valley, Rajmachi point holding historical importance and Table Top, the best place to view sunrise are other special spots which should definitely be on your list to visit in Lonavala. I couldn't stop myself from sharing the pictures of these breathtaking places. You might regret if missed any of it.
