Let me take a moment to thank all of you who are reading my blogs no matter when I post it.Thank you dear writers!
Today I am trying to depict the pain of being a drop in the ocean…My inspiration is from the famous saying or slogan that “Every drop counts”. We often hear it being related to even daily lives how our efforts no matter how small makes a difference in the world, but how does it feel being that tiny drop which wishes to be recognised and noticed! Hope you enjoy the poem!Do let me know in the comments!
A tiny drop too counts all said
I too happily slept in the bed
Believing that I too make a difference
Nobody actually researched and made an inference
Blindly assumed and believed our lives matter!
But where am I in this big banter
As the drops make a noise very often
How do I know where I am or if am broken
Further into a tinier drop in the sea
Or made huger and bigger as you look and see
How do I look different from the others?
How do I know what I am in different weathers?
I know I make a change but how to believe?
With what belief can I exist or ever live?
Why is it that my presence can't be felt
Am I stuck in a glacier or do I melt?
Evaporate into vapours unknown to anyone
Or is my existence even known to someone?
Being just a drop, have no tears either
Not a soul exists to confirm even if I wither
I just survive serving a purpose unknown
Even if my dedication and struggle is shown
I will only be ignored in generations to come
With no idea what I will ever become
This tiny drop pushes through each day
Hoping dirt doesn't come in to stay!
Wishing to be acknowledged as somebody
Who tried to make a change in some buddy
Bringing smiles as they welcome me
Is what lets me live even now as you see
I have tried to personify a drop of water and relate it to a person's feelings through this poem. I hope you all can relate to the poem at some point. Like this drop although our existence may be unknown or of least importance always remember we too play a crucial role no matter how small it may seem!
Have a great time reading 🙂
