I am a crazy Korean drama fan who watches korean dramas from time to time. We have plenty of apps and platforms to watch the dramas. Pinnochio although is 5 years old it is a drama that has a special place in my heart with their passion,  motive, love and the beautiful scripting!!!. It tells us how the ordinary lives become no more ordinary when the rich interfere. It clearly tells the role of media- both in positive and negative light.

Pinnochio is a korean drama streamed from November 2014 to January 2015. It is a series with 20 episodes. It stars Lee Jong-suk, Park Shin-hye, Kim Young-kwang, Lee Yu-bi in main characters. The story is set in the 2000s with mystery and love interlocked at every turn. The story highlights the need for change in the mindset of reporters at the same time keeping in mind the difficult life of firefighters and reporters.

The story of pinnochio is focused on the life of two people who become reporters and the situations that lead them to choose the profession. Here the male lead becomes a reporter from being a taxi driver whereas the female lead is a reporter who has Pinnochio syndrome( it is a fictional syndrome wherein the person hiccups if a lie is told)

Ki Ha-myung (Lee Jong-suk) is leading a happy life with his parents and elder brother Jae-myung, until his father Ki Ho-sang, the captain of the firefighting squad, dies in a factory explosion during a rescue attempt along with several of his men. The story then begins on how the family is separated, how the lead Ki Ha Myung has to change his identity to survive, meets the heroine Choi in Ha(Park Shin Hye). In the meantime of being a reporter,  he finds the truth about his father's death and his brother's whereabouts. The drama then unfolds to tell the decisions taken by the leads and how their love can save them.

We also see their love blossoming through cute scenes and the good memories with their parents that adds the emotional quotient to the story. The relation between the lead and his brother is also heartwarming. Family relationships play a major role throughout the drama.

The story is a right mix of the present and past, the mindsets of different generations and highlighting the changing society. The friendship is valued high and  each artist who is part of it is given enough space to showcase their talent. It emphasizes the need to be truthful in all situations. The questions posed by the media changes the direction of the actual plot of an incident.

So through this drama it tells us how to not believe everything around us as it is but rather find the truth. Do watch and let me know what you think.
