2020 has been a year of fear, tensions, frustrations, irritations, bad news and struggles. Even as the year ends the disasters don't seem to end ever. People are struggling, crying for a living, praying to stay alive another hour, moment, day and month. Having money doesn't seem to help much these days. Prayer and hope only seem to help a little.
So this poem that I write is my way of prayer to my fellow beings who are struggling, losing hope, sstaying in the fear of losing their homes and way of living. Let all be able to find their feet, sstay safe and happy. Let them see the end of the tunnel and find peace and happiness.
Another news is rolling out on repeat
Another cyclone has found its seat
In my motherland, troubling the people
Disasters seem to be on a never ending sequel!!
The reason for this trouble is not known
A ray of hope sometimes is shown
But with the onset of this cyclone
My wishes and hopes seem to have gone
May the cyclone just weaken right now
Even if it seems it gains speed I don't know how!!
Wish I could reverse the time and weather
Push away this cyclone like a feather
So that nobody is hurt ever even once
May families enjoy with smilimg sons
Let not another child cry or scream in fear
Let not another person worry about their dear!!
Remove O Lord this disaster quick
With your power heal the sick
Be with us in this through this ordeal
We will live in better ways! Hope it's a deal!!
Kindly don't show your anger on humankind
Bless and keep us safe for you are kind
Lord let no more worries cross our path
We can't really bear your scary wrath
This I pray from my little heart!
May all be able to restart!!
Nivar cyclone is expected to intensify in the night (26th Nov 2020) so let us pray that it goes without damaging anymore lives or livelihood. Let us all say a word of prayer for all who are suffering now, staying in the fear of losing hope of living again, pregnant mothers, old and the aged, tiny and beautiful kids sitting in the darkness of their homes, without lights and electricity due to cyclone, and all who are scared of COVID and other diseases that spread during this time.
