As princess Nova was admiring her beautiful garden from the balcony of her room she noticed a slight movement among the blue bells on the far left side of the massive multicolored area.

"Cheron, did you see that?" Nova turned to her personal maid and the closest friend in the palace or world.

"What are you talking about Nova I'm trying to fix your dress here. You need to be ready before Prince Janus arrives with his parents and some relatives." Cheron spoke from the récamier inside the room holding a blue dress on the lap.

Nova slapped her head realising that Cheron can't see what she saw. She stretched her petite lean figure to look over the bushes.

She tried to concentrate and look for the intruder but couldn't find anything except birds and rabbits.

"King Deimos," Nova heard Cheron greeting and turned to see the the pleasant old face of her father, the king of Peri Peri land.

"Father, I thought you were busy." Nova said stepping inside of the room.

"Not for my daughter. You don't need to be nervous you know that, right?" King Deimos said smiling reassuringly through his golden bushy beard.

"I know father, you'd never force me into a marriage." Nova said and embraced her father. King Deimos kissed Nova on forehead and left.

"Come on Nova, let's get you ready, If the prince misunderstand me as you and ask me for marriage I won't say no." Cheron said lifting the dress to it's full length in front of her with a bubbly smile.
Cheron and Nova were almost similar in size except Nova was more lean and Cheron was more curvy kind.

"That's a great idea actually, Its going to be a wasted journey anyway." Nova said laying flat on the huge bed.

"Why? Don't be so negative. Others princes we met has had a very low value of you aspiration and swordsmanship doesn't mean this one would be same as well." Cheron tried to cheer Nova and laid beside her.

Both the girls continued to stare at the decorated ceiling of the giant room.

"Prince has entered the land. Muah muah," came the sweet sharp voice and both the girls jumped up from the bed and looked in the balcony.

A big green parrot with red and yellow beaks entered the room flying through the balcony and sat on the out stretched arm of the princess.

"Really? Arrow tell me, is he handsome, good looking with full head of hair?" Cheron asked getting all excited.

"Look for yourself madam Peri Peri," Arrow said mockingly.

"Hush both of you," Nova stopped the argument before it could start. She knew her pet and her best friend weren't on the same page often.

"Yeah, now I don't want to loose the job so please get ready." Cheron said to Nova and pushed her towards the bathroom.

"Okay I'll take the bath but you wear something bright today. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a cute cousin of his for you." Nova joked and disappeared behind the curtains.

"I'll probably wear something good for tonight's function." Cheron faintly said to herself more than to her friend.

Cheron knew this was a joke, a joke she could never take too seriously. There was no chance she'd leave her mother and baby sister on their own. They needed her and more importantly she needed them forever.
