Most people seek to improve themselves, learn new things, become better people. The way to achieve this goal is to change your behavior. Changing your behaviour comes from ‘pushing yourself.’ Pushing yourself is a mentality. You can push yourself mentally or physically, but they both comes from your thinking.
When you don't have people in your life pushing you, push yourself.
It took me the longest time to realise that nobody will come to save me. I have to save myself. Each one of us is going through something which makes us feel empty.
There will be times when people won't care about you. Nobody will support you, that's when you need to be your own hero. Build yourself from your pain. Stop saying why me when things go wrong. Would you say why me when something good happens to you? Don't beat yourself up for your wrong choices, sometimes they takes us towards the right direction. Let go of anything that makes you feel weak. Make your bad experiences your biggest strength so that it can never hurt you again.
No matter how weak, lost, broken you feel at the moment, you'll get through it. Take a deep breath and hug yourself. Feel your heartbeat and know nobody's but your own heartbeat is your home.
Even in those moments when you feel like you can't get up from bed, fight off that pain in your chest, regain your strength and figure out life again. Get out of your bed, feed yourself well, don't isolate yourself, cry if you need to but don't give up. Things will get better.
When you hit rock bottom, the only way is up.
Not pushing yourself is easy, comfortable, you just keep doing what you’ve been doing and go with the flow. But it comes with a heavy cost of living a life with regrets. We are responsible for our own life and it’s our responsibility to push ourself and reach to our highest self.
Pushing yourself happens thought by thought, action by action, day by day. The small actions will add up over time and will create a major change in your life. Change will come only if you stay consistent and don’t stop pushing yourself. Pushing yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally requires resilience, persistence, and constant reminders of you reaching your highest self. The process is the journey, and the results are worth every difficult moment.
