India- A nation where we worship women, though we keep them behind the curtains at many places.
Even though women are 48% out of the total population of India. Our country is still suffering in terms of growth. Even though most of the women are woke enough but a major part of the society is still suffering.
Then, What are the major reason behind the stagnant growth of Women residing in our country?
The major reason behind the slow rate of women’s growth in India is the improper management and the forceful suppression of women. Following a report by National Sample Survey Office(NSSO), only 4% of the total population of women’s are indulged in the organized sector, compared to a capitalist nation like America, about 70-75% of the total population of women’s are into a participatory approach with the organized sector.
Corporates often reject the idea of women’s employment, as they’ll be pregnant, married, mother, or they won’t be as efficient as a man. Due to these reasons, the corporate industry doesn’t recommend women as their employees in India.
Moreover, they’re taught to manage their household since they hit teenage as a result they don’t fit into the requirement of the industry. The average education given to each woman is just 1.25 years says the Census report of 2011.
According to The World Bank 2017, India doesn’t have the ecosystem to develop women’s. Our country has the Maternal Mortality Rate of 174, the highest amongst any nation in the World. Additionally, out of 131 nations, India has the 120th rank in terms of the Women Work Force. Though, we are proud of the Indian ladies who represent our nation outside India, following some big names by Naina Lal Kidwai(Chairman HSBC India), Indira Nooyi(CEO PEPSICO), Arundhati Bhattacharya(Chairperson, State Bank of India), and even more.
In a country where the women’s force will be suppressed, the country will not grow. As a result, we have noticed the stagnant atmosphere in the past both in terms of economic development as well as human development. India has become a country where raping a girl has become a common but major issue. Women feel unsafe while traveling at night, but this is what we have to change.
When we look into any source of transformation from the current scenario, we have a clear vision that it can only be possible once we aim at teaching women. Knowledge is the only weapon that can solve this problem and it’ll provide equal space for women in society. Also, some schemes by the government would also be required. So that common people can utilize it to make their pillar strong.
