Hi everyone, I am Dhruv! I want to share my love story with you all. Wait…! can I call it a love story or just my story? Let us decide that at the end.
It was March 2015, after all the struggles in past two years after my graduation I finally got a job as Java developer. I am from Hyderabad but my Job location was Bangalore, so I had to relocate and joined in the company.
It was my first day at the office sitting in the HR cabin to finish my joining formalities. Preethi, HR of the company. What a beauty she is! I am very poor at describing her beauty with my knowledge on adjectives but she left me awestruck.Her silky hair, her cute dimples and her perfume……, I took a deep breath when she came across me. She sat on the chair in front and smiled at me. I left like I was living in a dream. Then she called my name and said, “Welcome to the family Dhruv! I hope you will enjoy working with us. If you have any queries please feel free to reach out to me”. I smiled at her and said “Thank you”, I couldn't utter any word.
Meanwhile she was checking my certificates and processing my joining and I was checking her office and behaving like a kid who got to see Disney world ( Sorry for the bad comparison but the excitement was same). “ So Dhruv, are you new to the Bangalore?", she asked. I said “ Yes, this is my first time to Bangalore”. She replied, “Welcome to the city Dhruv, I am sure you will love it”. Me in my head “ I am already loving it”. I was feeling something different, I couldn't stop smiling, I couldn't stop looking at her, is this a love at first sight? or just an attraction? Whatever it is I am loving it, I love this feeling. It didn't happen to me anytime. I want to know more about her, I want to be with her. While all these thoughts are running on my head, I totally forgot that she is the HR of the company and its my first day at the company. After 10 minutes of the joining process and she asking me some questions I was about to leave her office but then here comes the twist in my life……
Her phone was on the table, I heard a message tone and turned my eyes on to her phone. No, I was not checking her message but there is something more that broke my heart. The wallpaper of her phone. It is a picture of Preethi with her husband kissing on her forehead and Preethi kissing her baby. My excitement since last 10 minutes was devastated. I never thought a picture can break my heart. I could believe that Preethi is married and having a baby. But I have to accept the fact.
It was a story which ended even before it is started. I felt like a fool sitting in front of her, without knowing her but dreaming about her. This may be the shortest love story ever.
Well, I came out of her office with a heavy heart and started my work. Hoping that there will be more beautiful days I could have and great career ahead.
