Success is simple. Do what's right, the right way, at the right time.
-Arnold H Glasow
Well, what if it's not that simple? not right or doing it in the wrong way? Then, will it lead to failure?
It's definitely not as simple as we think. They say “every failure is a stepping stone to success” but is there any number on how many stones to build and climb to be successful? Sometimes, We try and we try and we fail, we try again but we fail again. Is there an end to this road?
When hundreds of people are looking for opportunities to build their career. We know about five to ten who are achievers and are successful, but what about the other ninety?
Although we give all the attention to successful people as they deserve. But what about those who are still trying to achieve? who gave up? who ended their lives as they couldn't face failure? who are succumbed to societal pressures choosing different path compromising themselves to fulfil other's wishes?
In my opinion, these people are the greatest achievers as they know the value of success more than any. Later in time, for some success gets into their heads forgetting the morals of life. But these people carry the burden of failure, missed opportunities, criticism, taunts all their life.
I tried searching for examples but even google's not helping me as there are “failure stories of successful people”. So I'll be giving a real-life example - My dad's a math genius, following graduation. He trained as a civil engineer. He was very much interested in giving an attempt to civil services but due to many societal reasons, he had to give up and choose a different path. Though giving up is not easy but not once he has pressurised me into anything, he gave me the liberty and time to make decisions on my own even if they're bad.
And many people and stories are surrounding us from whom we can relate and get inspired. It's ok to fail, it's also ok to choose a different path, it simply means that there's something better waiting for you. But we should never stop dreaming, stop learning, stop working. “The real failure is when you stop trying”.We should recognise “the Greatest chievers” as they deserve.
