It is well proven maxim of the world that experience is better teacher. The controversy between the theoretical and practical learning is a long drawn process. What is preached and learnt theoretically , often leaves a vague and abstract impression in the mind of the learner, but the same thing when demonstrated as a practical experience becomes clear and intelligible with ease.
There can be multiple example to prove the authenticity of the proverb. Several skill based subjects cannot simply be learnt theoretically. An engineer, an architect, a technician cannot operate a machine or construct, a bridge or create a blue print for a structure only by theoretical measures. That's why training workshop, apprentice shop for an essential part of technical education. A teacher cannot become perfect in spite of monumental knowledge without facing a class. An artist with a degree of art collage cannot produce a masterpiece without actually experiencing the inspiration. A soldier is not trained with the technique of using firearms or hand to hand combat by reading text book. But the instructor in the army makes him to go through the grueling experience to become a trained professional.
similarly the best teacher for human beings on earth is the life itself. As one goes through the up and downs of life, the roller coaster ride of success and failure, one learns to remain stable and complacent in all situations of life. It makes one better adjusted in life and stronger and firmer in ones approach towards life. No amount of explanations can actually prepare one to face the challenges of life, the way one cannot learn swimming without first diving into water.
It is therefore, imperative to expose the children to the various experiences of life right from the early stage. When they experience adversities and hardship handle challenges and problems, at the same time experience the element of hope and faith, it brings out the best in them - making them perfect individual. Thus, it is appropriate to say experience is the best teacher.
For example : A kid learns to write not when the teacher shows them but when the kid actually tends to hold a pencil himself. Similarly creative artist's like singers, dancers, models etc. learns their specific fields by lots of rejection and experiences. Albert Einstein has rightly said, “The only source of Knowledge is Experience."
“Only someone who is ready for everything, who doesn't exclude any experience, even the most incomprehensible, will live the relationship with another person as something alive and will himself sound the depths of his own being.” ― Rainer Maria Rilke
