We all know what a mighty and fierce warrior Arjuna was . He has defeated many mighty warriors including KARNA , BHISHMA and DRONA .But do you know that arjuna too died . Moreover HE WAS KILLED. 

Lets see what happened.

• When Lord Krishna departed from this earth towards Vaikunth , the Pandavas appointed Parikshit as the successor of the kings throne on the last day of Dwapar Yuga. Then the Pandavas retired to forest and travelled towards heaven. On the way to heaven , one by one everyone falls of (dies) . First dies Draupadi ,for showing more love towards arjuna than other brothers. Then fall off Nakul and Sahedev for having pride on their intelligence and looks . Next was Arjuna to fall off for having pride on his archery skills. He thought that he was the most powerful warrior in the world . Later Bhim also falls off and only Yudhisthir makes it to the heaven with a dog , who was the incarnation of lord YAMA.

Incident 2:-

After Kurukshetra war , Yushisthir ,the ruler of Hastinapur decides to perform the Aswamedha Yagya and sets free a horse to wander around the world . Arjuna goes with the horse to protect it from the challenger.

When the horse is in Manipura , There is a quarrel between Arjuna and Babruvahana ,without recognizing each other . Actually Babruwahana is the son of Arjuna and Chitrangada,princess of Manipur , who marries arjuna during his teerth yatra. 

In this fierce battle arjuna is killed (due to the curse of the vasus for the unjustified slaying of Bhishma) by Babruwahana .After the fight Chitrangada comes to the battle field and sees that Babruwahana has killed Arjuna.  Chitrangada is extremely shocked and tells Babruwahana that arjuna is his father .,which also makes him sad . Not knowing what to do ,They all surrender to Lord Krishna ,where he arrives on the battle field  and  tells them to seek help from Ulupi , the Snake Princess who is another  wife of Arjuna ,whom he married during the teerth yatra.

After so many troubles Ulupi manages to get the “Nagamani” from the Naglok through which she restores Arjuns life back . After realising that Babruwahana is his son , Arjun is delighted by his warrior skills . Arjuna feels more happy towards his bravery and blesses him and then goes with the horse to complete the yagya succesfully.

So this is how the arjuna dies 2 times in the mahabharatha
