The Amazon rain forest is located in northwest of BRAZIL and extends into Colombia, Peru and South American countries. It is said that if Amazon forest would have been a country, it would have been ninth largest country. It's a major contributor of oxygen contributing about 20% of oxygen. Amazon forest is home to large varieties of different species of plants and animals .Amazon foRest is full of mysteries. The famous explorer colonel Percy Fawceit backed many of these mysterious claims. 

1.The largest known snake Titanoboa was 42 feet long. According to Scientists anaconda could only be upto 30 feet long, but  a South -American explorer claimed to have seen a snake as long as 62 feet in Amazon rainforest. 

2.Amazon rainforest is a home of different types of tribes. Tribes living deep inside the forest hate people around their settlements, they attack any outsider that tries to get close to their settlements. The most talked about Amazon rainforest tribe is one that are supposedly too tall than usual and have blue eyes. 

3.Amazon rainforest is so unapproachable that varieties of plants remains unknown till date. Discoverers have claimed to have seen a maneater plant.

4.Have you heard of maricoxi, they are creatures that are half animal and half human. Explorer Colonel Fawceet allegedly encountered the tribe Maricoxi ,he described them as intelligent hairy creatures, 12 feet tall, armed with tools and they lived to the northwest of the Maxubi tribe. 

5.Amazon Rainforest is considered as an ideal place for hidding supposedly used by aliens. According to American scientists they have spotted UFO's an alien spaceship during their research. 

6.Though Amazon rainforest is home to vast number of rivers and waterfalls but the most talked about river is the boiling river. Boiling river destroys everything that comes in contact with it. Though their are many theories to support why this river boils at 93 degree centigrade but none of the claims are approved of. 

7. Here comes the most interesting ones. It is believed that inside the mysterious amazon forest is an ancient  city where the walls of houses are made of silver and the roofs of gold. This city is known as “City of Z”.No one exactly knows exactly  where is this city inside the amazon rainforest. The explorers who have attempted to reach that city never returned back so this city  only remains in talk .
