Also known as suicide plant, gimpie gimpie is considered as the world's most painful plant once you touch it. Gimpie gimpie is native to Australia. The leaves of this plant are covered with thousands of silica hair that are basically like glass needles and are composed of horribly potent neurotoxin. These neurotoxin not only activate pain receptors but also prevent them from turning off.

Gimpie gimpie does not contain a neurotoxin that is capable of killing a healthy grown adult. They basically messes with one's pain receptors . People who are accidentally stung by it describes their pain in various forms. Some describes their pain like being stung by all the wasps at the same time. Some describes it like a sudden electric shock running through every single one of one's nerves. Some describes like being burned by hot acid and electrocuted at the same time. Some people have also reported swelling in the mouth, tongue, throat, armpits along with uncontrollable sweating and voimiting.

It is not composed of deadly chemicals to kill someone but once stung by it causes so much pain that one will want to be dead. So it's aim at killing people without being having the ability to do so. There are legit reports that people been stunged by this plant have tried killing themselves to escape the pain and sometimes people stunged by this screams so much that they experiences a heart attack and die. There are also reports of people scratching their  skin off the affected area in order to stop the pain.  Once a soldier unknowingly used it's leaf as a toilet paper and ended up shooting himself through the head. If an animal is  accidentally stung by this, gimpie gimpie just drives them so mad with pain that they just sprint until they die because  animals lack the ability to knowingly commit suicide.

There are couple of recommendations to ease the pain for example by applying the dilute solution of hydro chloric acid or by using wax strips that would help to remove the stinging hairs but neither of them are perfect or exact solution to dull the pain. Even if gimpy gimpy tree is dead one can still be stung by it because the toxins in the glass like needles are still active. It is also advised never to set gimpie gimpie plant on fire, because those needles don't burn easily and can even go airborne.
