It might surprise you that some inventors found the solutions to their problems in their dream. Neil Bohr a Danish physicist who is called the father of atomic physics was awarded with a noble prize in the year 1992 for his remarkable discovery of structure of atoms. It is said he dreamt about the structure of an atom. Yes going by this it was a mere dream that led to one of the greatest discoveries of all time in scientific world. Neil Bohr used to talk repeatedly about his one dream . The same dream that led to the discovery of the structure of an atom. In his dream he had seen race of horses and if one has seen a horse track then one must have seen how horses race in their marked lanes only he compared the track with the fixed orbits of electrons. Electrons move around the nucleus in their fixed orbits and just as he opened his eyes he ran to his lab to prove this scientifically and thus this led to the discovery of Bohr's model.
Another discovery was that by Mendeleev . Dmitri Mendeleev grew up in siberia. When he was about thirteen years old hid family'd glass factory had caught fire and was completely destroyed . Dimitri felt quite helpless as a teenager because he had already lost his father and the one thing that his family owned also got destroyed. He then went to Petersburg with his mother and from there started his journey towards science. In a few years he had become the master of science. In 1867 he started with his writing book “ principle of chemistry” which was published in two volumes. When he was working on this book he realised that if fir building a house the brick acts as it's unit similarly in chemistry to make everything elements are the basic units and to systematically classify those units will help us all understand them better and soon after this realisation he wrote the names of all the elements and started writing their atomic characteristics in front of them and after that he classified them based on atomic weights. But he initially failed to notice any pattern to classify them until he fell sleep on his desk. When his eyes opened he had got the solution to his problem. He even noted down the pattern. He himself admitted how he saw all these elements getting arranged in a table on their own and so as soon as he opened his eyes he wrote that arrangement on a paper.
