When Health Is Wealth

One of the most precious gift men are given by God is their health. Our health is a miraculous system. We are given a heart for the pumping of the blood. We are having two lungs for proper breathing. We are blessed with two kidneys for throwing away the residues. We are the owner of a brain that is responsible for our reasoning.  

                 The concept of health does not confine within the idea of physical health. In a wider respect the concept of health includes physical health, mental health, social health, financial health, spiritual and psychological health. However, today, especially, I am going to discuss about physical health.

                  A healthy person is one who feels good about himself and is able to fight disease. Health plays a pivotal role in the happiness and progress of a man. A healthy person is physically fit and is ready to serve himself and his nation in a positive and productive way.

Now, we can achieve this good health in a number of ways. Let’s discuss in detail.  

• Balanced nutrition- Balanced nutrition is the key factor for achieving good health. Add more fruits and vegetables in your diet. Eat protein enriched foods that may help in strengthening the muscles and in building immunity.  

• Regular exercise- You are unable to hit gym? Don't worry. Go for cardio exercises that includes walking, swimming, playing, skipping etc. Go for some free hand exercises if you wish. Go for morning walk or evening walk according to your convenient schedule. But do exercises at least for 30 minutes on a daily basis. Exercise helps you to reduce your extra weight and helps you to maintain the proper body weight. Even doing yoga is very helpful in toning your body.

• Proper sleep- Having a proper sleep is very much necessary for maintaining good health. Proper sleep at the right moment helps to repair the body and helps you to get ready for the next day as well. Proper rest of the body through enough sleep enables a man to prevent weight gain and many cardio vascular diseases.

• Drinking enough water- Drinking enough water is essential for good health because it helps to remove the toxins from the body and keep the body hydrated.  

• Good hygiene- In this Covid induced era,keeping  a healthy hygiene is inevitable. We all know that “cleanliness is next to godliness “. We need to wash our hands properly before every meal. If you remain unaware of washing your hands, the bacteria or the germs of your fingers may be moved to your mouth that may result in stomach upset and subsequent adversity of overall health.  

• Prevention of addiction- Get out of the addiction of smoking, alcohol, tobacco consumption or having sugary drinks. These addictions may lead you to life threatening diseases like,lung cancer stroke, bronchitis etc. For the betterment of your health, the prevention of such abusive addiction is must.

• Healthy association- Keep yourself surrounded with positive people who may give you every reason to smile every day and promote you the friendly favour of empathy and kindness. If you are with good association you will always feel the vibes of positive energy and the sense of togetherness. Such association will help you to grow psychological health that will eventually contribute to  your overall health.
