Introduction-

Indian wedding is a huge show of pomp and grandeur. These extravaganza, colourful decorations continuing for several days, lead many Indian parents to be in debt sometimes. The texture of our society is such that a slightest deficit in the ceremonial arrangements may result in prestigious issue. Therefore, the motto should be to plan the wedding programme in a realistic bent without going for excess. Today, I am going to share some tips that may help you to trim down your budget of the D-Day.

Plan properly-

First of all,it is important to plan a budget of your wedding, based on your personal financial situation and be stick to it.

Choose the right time-

It will be better if you go for choosing the off-season period. The reason is that many hotels and banquets offer a huge discount during this period. No doubt, it will be beneficial for limiting your budget.

Go for the right time-

Don't fall for a highly renowned five star hotel located in the proper town area. Better to select a venue in the outskirts. Choose a venue that will include as wide open space. Because it gives you the liberty to decor according to your wish.

Book wedding date-

Select your wedding date wisely. It will be better if you choose a week day for your marriage instead of choosing the weekend time. Try to skipthe holidays as your marriage day to save your budget.

Limit the guest list-

One of the important factors that may contribute significantly to the budget of your marriage is to trim down your guest list. Make a list at first, where you include the people who must be there or without whom your marriage would be incomplete. Secondly, make a list of the people whom you feel you should invite. In this list, you can skip inviting the extended family of your associations or you can spare the kids.

Borrow the wedding items-

Seek help from your family and friends and try to borrow from them whatever will be essential for your D-Day. For example, you can borrow car from your family, or you can borrow handful of table clothes and flower vases from your relatives. Borrowing such things will help you in great extend to save your money. Just be sure in this regard that the borrowed things should be returned intact to the person in the proper time.

Rent the wedding attire-

Investing a huge amount of money on a dress that you will use for one day is not a grounded idea. So,you may search online to rent your wedding dress and accessories and that will be a great goosebumps to your savings.

Invite digitally-

Without spending on the invitation cards, you may choose to invite your guests through Email or personalised e-invites. It will save your cost of printing and dispatching the wedding cards.

Include local cuisine-

No need to include international food items in your menu card. Just go for the Indian cuisine which will help you to save a lot. Besides this, choosing a local restaurant for catering service will be better. Professional catering service may charge you more.

Skip the pre-wedding photo shoot-

To save your budget just go for capturing the precious moments of your wedding day. No need to do the pre-wedding photo shoot. In this case, one thing is very important, that is the selection of the photographer. Instead of hiring a professional photographer, call for the freelancers or the amateur photographer who will cost you less.

Conclusion-

I personally prefer simplicity and the huge display of magnanimous arrangements following the wedding day seems quite irrational to me. However, what's your take on it? Let me know. Share your precious opinions through comment box. Thank you.

Well written. Good tips. But one thing, I personally feel that wedding outfit should be owned, not rented. Itโ€™s my personal opinion.
