Hello, friends welcome back. As we all know Navratri is around the corner so I am dedicating this blog to Maa Durga. As the word Navratri tells “Nav” means nine and Ratri Means nights this exactly means nine nights of Maa Durga usually it comes in the month of September – October and tenth day of this festival as Dussehra people do fast and things such as Onion, Garlic, and Non-Ved Food, Alcohol accept that temple is decorated with lights there is believe that people who fast for all nine days Maa Durga fulfill their all the wishes. People clean their homes especially temples because it is believed Goddess come and stay in our homes during these nine days and the eighth and ninth days are celebrated as Ashtami and Navami in which small kids i.e Girls are worshipped and distributed thing such as Puri, Halva and Kaala Chana are made as offering to Goddess not many people know that Navratri are of 4 types Chaitra Navratri and Sharad Navratri which we celebrate and other two are silent Navratri accept that people also start their Preparations for Diwali during Navratri accept Navratri also considered good for things such as Marriages and other things. Not many people this festival have a history behind it . This festival marked the victory of good over evil it is believed that Goddess Durga fought with Mahishasur who have an ego on his strength fought with him for nine days the day on which this demon was defeated by the Goddess is celebrated as Vijay Dashmi. Navratri is celebrated in different ways in different places of India in north India people perform Ram Leela and perform fasting depends on person to person some people do one or two days on some for all nine days even hotels and Restaurants adds special dishes in their menu without onion and garlic they even made special thalis for Navratri. if we are talking about Navratri it is incomplete without the mention of Dandiya which is the Gujrati way of celebrating this festival there is a belief that Dandiya is the way of celebrating good over evil I would like to end this blog by telling the story of Maa Durga and her vehicle Lion as we all know lion is considered a symbol of strength and riding lion shows that it is controlled as embodiments energy which controlled by Maa Durga
