Blackholes are most strangest thing in the whole cosmos. When we read space related article we ocassionaly finds mention of “Blackhole”.Do you know what Blackhole actually is? If not, Do you wanna know? If your answer is yes then you are perfect place. So, lets start our journey in the Ocean of knowledge .
Blackhole is a cosmic body or region in cosmos where there is very strong gravity. Such strong gravity that no any particle not even light can escape of it.
We know that different stars have different mass and size. There are also such stars in cosmos which are very huge and has a lot of mass. Such stars with massive masses forms Black holes when they die.
In our lower classes we have studied that in stars energy forms from nuclear fusion. This process happens in the core of stars where hydrogen atoms fusions and forms helium atom , similarly helium fusions and forms carbon atom. This fusion process happens until Iron forms in the core. As we know that iron is a heavy element. After the formation of iron in the core , the fusion process stops as core become unable to run fusion process from there. So from heere fusion process in a star stops. Due to stopping of fusion process in star the forces which keeps a star stable i.e - Gravity and nuclear pressure would not remain equal as earlier. After sometime the gravity of core becomes excess as compared to nuclear pressure which acts in star from outside. So from here , due to the excess gravity of core and unstability star starts to shinks. After a time it starts to absorbs large amount of mass and gas in a point .This point is called Singularity. And from here star dies with a massive explosion which is called “ supernova explosion ”.
After supernova explosion star dies and, its all it shriked mass at singularity give rise to a massive “Black Hole”.
1. You Can’t Directly See a Black Hole because light cannot reflect back from it. Its strong gravity traps even light from escaping.
2. Our Milky Way Probably Has a Black Hole at its centre which is approx 26000 light years away from our solar system. Scientist named this Black Hole as “Sagittarius A”.
3. Dying Stars Lead in formation Stellar Black Holes.
4. There are Three Categories of Black Holes.
(1) Premordial Blackholes : These are the smallest blackhole exists these black hole exists at atomic size and its mass can be equal to mass of a mountain.
(2.) Stellar Blackhole : These blackholes are most common blackhole in our cosmos. These blackhole have 20 times massive than our sun . There are many steller blackholes in our Milkyway.
(3.) Supermassive Blackholes : These are biggest blackholes , they are sometimes millionth time massive than our sun. Its believed that always there a Supermassive blackhole in centre of every large Galaxy. “ Sagittarius A ” is the name of supermassive Blackhole in centre of our Milkyway.
5. The First Black Hole Wasn’t Discovered Until X-Ray Astronomy was Used.
6. The Closest Black Hole is Probably Not 1,600 Light-Years Away from our Solar system.
8.Black Holes Are Only Dangerous if You Get Too Close.
9. Black Holes Are Constantly Used in Science Fiction.
