Hello friends, I back with a new blog as we all know Ganesh festival is celebrated these days around all over the country. The devotees installed Lord Ganesh Murtis in their homes. The celebration of this festival was started by Shri Bal Gangadhar Tilak in lats 80s . These days Vedic  hymns were offered and prasad from daily offerings is distributed among nearby people . After ten days when this festival ends people carried the idol and immersed it in a body of water  such as river according to a report estimated 1 to 2 lakhs statues are immersed every year. This festival in hugely popular among states such as Maharashtra , Goa , Chhatisgarh and many other parts of India . This festival is celebrated as the God of new begning and reomover of obsrtacles as well as the God of wisdom and intelligence. Like every festival this festival also have historical facts. As we all know  Ganesh is the younger son of Lord Shiva and Parvati . According to Hindu believes that lord Ganesh was created by Parvati from dirt from her body to guard her while she was taking a bath. In the meantime Shiva was returned Ganesh did not know who shiva was so Ganesh stop him from entering the house so the angee shiva cut his head when Parvati know this she was very upset when shen she know about this so Lord Shiva sent Devta’s who found an elephand head when they handed this head to lord Shiva that’s how the lord Ganesh was born. But other story is that Devtas requested lord Shiva and Parvati so Ganesh can be creator of obstascles this is the reason he called Viganharta . It is believed that the devotees whe pray to Lord Ganesh able to fulfill their wishes and desires. The excitement of this festival a before a week or two before the the actual festival artist prepares different clay models in different models and sizes there is a believe that there are more then 10 ways of offering prayer to lord Ganesh people celebrate this festival by dancing, lighting up fire work which sets up to environment in festive mood special dishes like Modek, Pooran Poli are some dishes are made on this festival which are believe to be fevoriate to Lord Ganesh so this blog is my small prayer to Lord Ganesh to be with us as a Vigaharta  forever
