Gurpurab- A Special Day

Gurudwaras are decorated in not only in India but all over the globe this holy day is observed as full moon night in the month of November this day is begin with reading of Sikh's holy book Guru Granth Sahib it is a religious procession with five armed guards these guards are carrying Nishan Sahib they also carry Guru Granth Saheb in a Palki that was beautifully decorated with flowers. This procession starts from Gurudwaras and pass through near by localities the group was followed by a local band and a group of singers singing religious songs while offering tea and sweets to people and with this procession also include team of martial artist performing Gatka which is a traditional Martial Art of Punjab. This procession are decorated with flowers. The celebration of this festival is begin early morning 4 am hymes are followed by sikh scriptures sung and followed by a Katha this include historical lectures and followed by a community lunch this lunch is organized by the volunteers of Gurudwara religious music played by a local band Guru Nanak was the first of ten Sikh Gurus his only massage was Love , Truth and peace Guru Nanak was only sit with mullahs, pandits even today Sikhs all over the globe practice his teachings some places such as Amritsar, Kartarpur Saheb located near the Pakistan border are Gurudwaras specially decorated with lights and flowers accept the other important of this festival is Langer  which is an essential part of this celebration it remains vegetarian and never tested while cooking because it believe an unethical act according to their rules person with a communicable diseases is not allow to participate in Langer the entire Sikh community remains in a festive mood that day they also distribute such as Kaju Barfi and jalebi looking this grand celebration of this festival children also took an equal participation by burning crackers this may be the known as Diwali of Sikhs as they celebrate this festival with same grandness and enjoyment as people of other religion celebrate Diwali I would like  end my blog by saying that iets not see Guru Purab as a festival of only of sikhs just look it as a festival of Guru whose teachings are act as a guide for us and show us a path to live a happy and stress free life and i would like to wish a happy Guru Purab to everyone
