TAMAS The first movie that tops this list is Tamas with a length of 4 hours and 58 minutes directed by Govind Nihalani and released in 1988 inspired by a novel of the same name featuring actors like Om Puri, Deepa Sahi, , Bhisam Sahni, and Surekha Sikri

Thavanai Thavamirindhu  From Bollywood from we are now moving towards South Industry where Thavanai Thavamirindhu  a Tamil film with a run duration of 4 Hours and 35 Minutes but the theatrical print was 3 Hours and 24 Minutes which means the movie was released with a cut  of 71 minutes featuring       Cheran who was also the writer and director alongside with superstar Rajnikant and many other actors in the movie 

LOC KARGIL The 3rd position goes to LOC Kargil this 2003 movie has a long length 4 Hours and 15 Minutes as the title tells the movie was based on the Kargil war and directed by J P Dutta who is well known for his war-based movies apart from the length this movie will always remember for its star cast that includes almost every b town stars like Sunny Deol, Saif Ali Khan, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Khanna, Abhishek Bachchan and many more this was a failure at the box office but always be remembered for its long duration and a big cast

MERA NAAM JOKER The next movie is an Iconic one in Bollywood  featuring the legend of the 70s Raj Kapoor   this classic blockbuster has a runtime of  4 hours and 4 Minutes this film is regarded as one of the finest movies made in Bollywood not many know looking the length of the filmmakers have to  place two intervals in this film in is only the second film after Sangam of 1964 

LAGAAN The final movie on the list the 3 Hours and 44 minutes long Lagaan featuring Amir Khan, Gracy Singh, and many more the movie is directed by Ashutosh Gawerekar and we if called this film the finest of the decade that has a simple story of villagers playing a cricket match to cancel their text(Lagaan)  the film was not only a commercial success but also an official entry to Oscars in 2003
